Having delayed for many years about tracing my origins and then trying myself on various sites, I did not get very far before they were asking for money, so I finally decided in March 2011 to contact a professional genealagist. I saw several companies, then caught sight of The Family Tree Lady. As she lives in the same county as me, I decided to phone her.

She sounded so genuine, warm and friendly, that I had no hesitation in putting my trust in her. I explained that there would probably be a problem as my unusual surname was supposedly adopted, and my paternal grandfather was born in Bombay. Fran said she would do her best, but was not too hopeful about tracing that line of my family.Howver, she DID find my ancestors in India and went back several generations.


At all times, Fran kept me informed by telephone and email, and in a matter of a few weeks, she had completed her searches. We arranged a meeting and I was delighted to see my family tree, all forty-two pages of it, complete with various crests, and seven sheets of kinship----this is a list of everybody on my tree which tells me straightaway what each person's relationship to me was.


I do not understand why people like me, who are not very good on computers waste time trying to make their own family tree, when they could so easily turn to someone like Fran who obviously knows what she is doing. To any of you reading this review,

I say  "Look no further, contact Fran and let her trace your family tree for you. You can rest assured that she is an expert in her field, and does not charge the high prices demanded by certain other sites."
